Could some tell me some good war black metal bands. I'm looking for black metal bands that have lyrics about world war one or two or have very chaotic raw sounding black metal which sounds like war!

If you haven't tried them out yet, Blasphemy are the gods of the genre. Start with Fallen Angel of Doom. Also check out Archgoat - their first album, I don't know anything about the new one - and Conqueror (the Canadian one). Black Witchery works too.

Last album of BLOODTHORN is an excellent thing. Also I would recommend you MONOLITH DEATHCULT, SARGOTH and ROSSOMAHAAR.

Rellik from Chicago

http://www.myspace.com/rellik

They're a black/death hybrid, similar flavor to Behemoth or Zyklon; killer stuff, lyrically and aesthetically they're exclusive to war.

Kommandant from Chicago

Again, not pure black metal but definitely war metal.

Cobalt's first EP and LP might do you right.

Greets, BD!
I'll name some albums that you may know and some that you may not know.

First and foremost,
Blasphemy - Fallen Angel of Doom

Also,

Abhorer - Zygotical Sabbatory Anabapt
Archgoat - Angelcunt (Tales of Desecration) EP
Beherit - The Oath of Black Blood
Bestial Warlust - Vengeance War 'til Death (Essential listening for war metal)
Conqueror - War Cult Supremacy
Goat Vulva - Capella (Lo-fi as all hell)
GoatPenis - Semen 1992 Anno Domini (raw as fuck)
Hadez - Aquelarre
Impaled Nazarene - Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz
Morbosidad - Cojete a Dios Por el Culo
Mystifier - Wicca
Proclamation - Messiah of Darkness and Impurity (Blasphemy worship)
Sadistik Exekution - We Are Death... Fukk You!

Not all of these have war themed lyrics, but ALL of them sound raw and chaotic as hell.

Pretty certain Zyklon-B could fall under this category, so definitely check out "Blood Must Be Shed" if you haven't already!

No.

War metal is a subgenre of black metal combining the atmosphere of black metal, the speed of death metal, and the raw chaos of early grindcore. The band does not need to have war-themed lyrics, but some do. The name stems from the aesthetic of these bands (especially Blasphemy), who dressed in bullets, spikes, grenades, and war paint. Blasphemy proclaimed that they were at war with God, so they dressed like they were literally at war.

Pioneers: Blasphemy, Beherit, Archgoat, Sarcofago, Abhorer, Blood, Corpse Molestation, Sadistik Exekution.

Actually, Nolan, those bands do fit ... he's also asking for bands with lyrics about WWI and WWII, not just war black metal. ;)

Yeah if anyone does know of a band that is 100% to do with WWI and WWII like the album cover is a soldier or tank anything to do with war then the lyrics are based around WWI or WWII i don't mind if it's NSBM or Raw black metal. If the band uses sample of marches or guns i'm looking for bands like that as well if anyone knows of one or something along them lines?

Well they're Blackened Death Metal, but God Dethroned's new album Passiondale, revolves in it's entirety around the Battle of Passchendaele of WWI.

I've seen Blasphemy and Proclamation mentioned, so I'll recommend Maleficum Orgia. They're similar (I guess you could even say Proclamation clone, which is a Blasphemy clone.. : D) and have some pretty fun songs with ridiculous titles.

Not really. Maleficum Orgia is much older than Proclamation (formed 91). They were playing grinding war black whatever metal back when all of that LLN nonsense was going on (they even put out a demo back in 92'). Aside from being older than Proclamation, they also don't sound much like them (and, as it wopuld logically follow, Blasphemy). MO is really more like grinding war metal run through the filter of old LLN raw black metal. Still, it's nice to find another human who is aware of a french black metal act that is actually good (well, aside from Vlad Tepes, of course).

if you want war metal about war, there is no finer place to start then Truppensturm.

As far as war-themed black metal, Vreid - Milorg is all about WWII. I think the themes extend to the rest of their material as well.

As far as the war black metal genre, the only stuff I've been exposed to are Revenge and Conqueror. I wasn't a fan of either.
