Illogicist springs to mind, since you've mentioned their country mates Carnal Rapture. Illogicist put out some excellent tech death -- make sure you grab both of their full-lengths.

Give Necros Christos a shot. They're listed in the Archives as "black/death metal," but the black metal influence is very minimal at best (at least on Triune Impurity Rites). Very solid band with some rather evil moments here and there.

Unleashed, Dismember, Grave, Entombed etc, most old school swedish ones dont use em, a few of them use a few blasts per album but only a few

oh and Post-Realm of Chaos Bolt Thrower

Almost totally blast beatless - there are blast beats on "Revel in Flesh".

Master (the one featuring Paul Speckmann) doesn't have blast beats, at least not on the first albums. I haven't heard the whole Master discography though.

The pre-"Resurrection Macabre" stuff, yes. Massacre (the one from Florida) is another death metal band without blast beats.

A good majority of old school death metal doesn't have blast beats. For example: Autopsy.

Cosmic Atrophy also is a good new band that doesn't really use blasting.

Autopsy anyone? Severed Survival is an excellent old-school DM album and there isn't a single blastbeat on it.

Dismember were mentioned, there are blastbeats on their first album, Grave as well IIRC.

Resurrection's Embalmed Existance is almost devoid of blast beats

Check out some Tampa early death metal produced by Scott Burns and old Swedish school

Six Feet Under and Torture Killer? Not particularly good (SFU suck) but it's blast free.

Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, and Torture Killer have a couple songs without blast beats. I'm not sure of any particular songs but their rarely use them from from what I know.

Precisely!
Bolt Thrower, Disharmonic Orchestra & Morbid Angel (and some time later Cannibal Corpse) were some of the earliest examples using them. Most other bands did not

I don't remember Demilich using any blasts on Nespithe. That would also fit the Gorguts-ish weird DM requirement. Of course, they're also pretty obvious.

I guess I could be wrong but I don't recall a single blast beat on either of those albums.
