Hello everyone.

Recently I've been getting interested in a certain kind of atmosphere, more exactly the one that Skepticism creates on Stormcrowfleet.I'm talking about the feeling of complete loneliness and calm, of walking completely alone on desolate landscapes, like a spirit, wandering with no direction or objective. No depressive or desperate atmosphere.

The music can be Funeral Doom or Black Metal, or a mix of the two, as I specified on the title.I would like if the speed were on the slower side of things.I want pounding drums, and distant, echous(is that a real word?) production.Keyboards are not only welcomed, but encouraged, but no cheesy melodies on it, I want it just for the purpose of enhancing the atmosphere. In the case of black metal, if the music is riff-centric, I want the guitar to be melodic(like on Transilvanian Hunger, though less evil).

Thanks, and I hope I made it right, as this is my first topic in the Recommendation Central.

You wany want to give Nahar a try; the first track of their first demo. Might be what you looking for. Its is basically depressive balck metal, with a very monotonous drum-computer texture in the background and a vocalist whose performance creates an impression of desolation.

You might like Longing for Dawn's newest album, Between Elation and Despair. It reallly gives that feeling of walking through a desolate land.

You definitely should try Nortt, great funeral doom and the atmosphere they create is great. All of their records are fine.

Ill second Elysian Blaze and Nortt. You cannot go wrong with these. I'd recommend Levitating the Carnal and Ligfaerd. Perhaps Abyssmal Sorrow and Grivf will also interest you. Maybe Funeral Mourning, although i'm not that fond of the band myself.

Celestiial fits the description perfectly, though it's far less musicy than Sketpicism. Their album Desolate North is worth chizecking out.
