I feel like I've listened to nearly all the good stuff black metal has to offer. I'm sure the thread is inadequately titled but good black metal comes in many shapes and forms. Here's what I consider the absolute best of what I've listened to - can anyone recommend anything amazing that's like any of it?

List of what I consider to be excellent black metal

- Immortal's DFMM, Pure Holocaust, Battles in the North,
- Wyrd's Heathen
- Wolves in the Throne Room's Two Hunters
- Drudkh's Blood in Our Wells
- Anything Burzum has to offer
- Anything Summoning has to offer
- Emperor's "In the Nightside Eclipse"

+ all the classics such as Darkthrone's stuff early Graveland.

I haven't felt the euphoric feeling of discovering amazing music in a long time.

P.S. I hate shit in the vein of late BAN and DSO. And pretty much anything that's boring like these two bands.

There is no real solid thrust to this thread; it's a collection of bands that don't sound much alike (or at all alike) thrown before the audience with an "instant gratification please!" memo attached. Try harder to narrow down your criteria--there's no sense in having someone lead you around by your little hand if you don't even really know where you want to go.

Edit: Keep your obstructive comments to yourself, Nolan. This is a fast food chain now--no place for dinner conversation.
