well guys,
I'm a die-hard fan of Ajattara,
also I have all of their releases from the demo of 1998 to the full-length of 2009 Noituuma.
but what the hell is going on with this band!!!
what in the hell were they trying to prove?

I created a similar topic about this new album not too long ago.

I enjoyed a song or two off of it, but to me it was another let down (wasn't fond of the last release either.) The band used to strike me as highly original, and I loved the way they incorporated the symphonic element. The atmosphere their music created was simply amazing.

But this new stuff? I can't help but think when the other line-up left after Pasi's stunt at Virgin Oil, the band kind of died at that very moment. The new album isn't Ajattara to me. I'm not going to praise this acoustic bullshit. It should've been a side-project. I couldn't wait to hear something new -- hoping it'd be good -- and after listening to it, all I have to say is: Fuck Pasi.

Yup. It's pretty much shit. "Ikuisen aamun sara" at least features a listenable (that's barely listenable) chorus, but otherwise the album blows. But look at their timeline, they've gone downhill since the starting block. And now they've reached hell.

Also, what stunt at Virgin Oil are you talking about, Warghost?

Last week, I've heard on of the song from their new album. It was nice (but because of the acoustic guitars I thought it was Mexican black metal, before I realised they were singing in Finnish) but I don't know any of their previous work.
It should be worth to pay closer attention to this album.

I take it he's meaning the nazi-salutes which ended in other members' departure in 2006.

Oh, haven't even heard as much as a rumour about something like that. Didn't see that coming...
