Good? Bad? Trendy? (YES!) Just curious to what everyone's thoughts are on this festival.

well I personally like Marilyn Manson's music...but I doubt that very many people here would agree with me on that.

Slayer is pretty crappy these days...

Also, Rockstar energy drink is owned by some crazy "militiaman" anti-immigration gun nut type if I remember correctly.

Behemoth would be good and Black Dahlia Murder would be tolerable.

I'd be interested to see Behemoth's setlist. Perhaps they're playing a new song. Slayer's setlist is probably predictable and Cannibal Corpse's is probably the same as it has been on their European tour. All the other bands can suck a dick.

EDIT - If anyone has these setlists, please share them.

I will probably try to make it because I've always wanted to see Slayer and Corpse, and Behemoth is an added bonus for me. I haven't given them much attention. The Black Dahlia Murder wouldn't be bad either. I guess it comes down to the ticket price, and I haven't looked into that yet.

I really wanna see Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, and Behemoth, but I'm weighing the pros and cons and at this point I don't think it's worth it. For me, at least...... between the shit bands, the hordes of people [posers included!], and the inevitably expensive refreshment [twice that of the smaller clubs!], I think I'll count myself out.

Theres always a chance to catch all three bands live another time anyway, even Slayer, who are reaching the end.....

I've never seen Slayer so I'm stoked for them and the same goes for CC. Behemoth is cool and Black Dahlia is good live but the rest I'm kinda iffy on but I'm getting my ticket free for driving a friend there so I'm not complaining. Manson might interesting for nostalgia's sake as long as he doesn't play any of his newer shit.

i agree with it, but not 100%. Portrait was cool, Antichrist was cool, MA was great, Holywood was iffy, GAOG was terrible, EMDM was worse, new album is set to be an even bigger bomb.

on topic, there's a FEW good bands, but not worth it overall. Mayhem are touring around the same time, i'll see that instead.

Manson isn't the problem, strangely enough. At least they'll be a change. No one is going to be able to tell the difference between all of these metalcore bands.

I heard this advertisement on my radio and they didn't even mention Cannibal Corpse or behemoth or Black Dahlia. And what pisses me off more than anything else is that they are calling it "Mayhem Fest" but WHERE'S MAYHEM? In USA such bands are never advertised so you kind of have to scream when Corpse, Behemoth, Black Dahlia, and Slayer are on the bill but all they talk about is mostly Manson.
