Who decides who gets inducted into the hall of fame? They ought to be shot for taking so long to get around to Metallica. Seriously, are they not living legends? RocknRoll being the bastard child of all music, you wouldn't expect the hall of fame to be so persnickety about who they let in, especially in the case of Metallica. Anyhow the time has finally come. Thoughts on the matter?

Anyway... the only HoF-list Metallica deserve to be on is "# of sold albums". Love it or hate it, 100M sold albums is pretty sweet.

This is Metallica's first year that they are elligible. I think it's bullshit that they get in their first year, when Rush haven't been inducted yet.

Who can even claim the right to introduce bands into something like a "Hall Of Fame"? Music has always and will always be subjective, I think Metallica sucks balls, ever since Kill Em All and I think it's a fucking joke they're in some kind of HoF. I think Morbid Angel and Dismember are billion times better than Metallica could ever be but I'm never gonna see them in any HoF.

The HoF is a joke. They put Madonna in but not Deep Purple, Iron Maiden or Rush.

That aside, its the rock and Roll ahll of fame and I believe the only forms of metal that can fit under that are the early heavy metal and NWOBHM. Metallica, Slayer, and Death, while being inductee-worthy, arent rockish enough for me.
