Very good stuff if you ask me. There first album is being released in the summer, should be interesting to see how they expand on incorporating the African ideas into the music on a wider level.

Yer, I know what you mean. I think its meant to be more subtle than bands using folk in their music. That and the guitar has its origins in Africa so perhaps many traditional African sounds or influences sound fairly similar to metal when play with a down tuned electric guitar?

I'm quite sure that the guitar did not originate from Africa but rather from Europe...or if you want to go further back, from Asia or India.
