What do you think about them? Good or bad?

MA generally discourages public swapping of stuff like that, I believe.

It's the way I acquire music. Well, besides CD's. I swear by 'em
rarely something I can't find.

For me their the #1 way I get my music, with soulseek as back-up. I download full albums, so it's easy to just find a blog with and get the whole thing. My record was around 86 albums downloaded in one day, thanks to mediafire, megaupload, and... err rapidshare, and other uploading sites through blogs.

Blogspots are some of the best way to find music and discover bands you've never heard of before. I'm buying cds again, and because of blogspot, slsk, etc I know what's good or not so I don't waste my money on lame albums.

I hate downloading music but it's been the only way I could actually build a decent music collection.

Blogspots are the absolute best way download music. I only use them when something unacquirable or I'm broke, though.

Goddamn, now I don't feel so guilty about my own downloading.

I like to use them to hunt down demos, bootlegs and other rare shit. I keep my downloading of full lengths and such to a minimum.

I use blogspot quite frequently for music downloads. You can find tons of really good and obscure stuff floating around.

Haha, it's pretty much about the only way I get music now so don't feel bad. I have to save my money (going overseas and am planning on buying a car and/or motorcycle) and I don't have a regular job. Every once in a while I might get an actual CD, usually as a gift or if I find a really good deal I might buy one.

but I do plan on having tons and tons of money eventually and then buying everything I've downloaded. We'll see how that works out.

I recently started using them, and they're fantastic. Finding some bands that I would never have discovered if it weren't for blogspots. Love it!

In some ways they have their uses, however they only act as a secondary source for things like if I want to download an entire discography. Otherwise I very rarely find stuff I can't already find elsewhere and there are at least a couple dozen things that I cannot find through blog searching.

They're my main source of getting music.

I seriously want to build a physical music collection, but I'm young and jobless. I promise myself that I'll build one that's bigger than my blogspot collection, which is only 1163 songs at the moment.

I have been managing my own download blog (see sig) since November. I really like how it enables people the get great music quickly, and for free.
I use other peoples blogs a lot as well. There is some really great stuff floating around out there.

Yeah I use them a lot. It is pretty much the only way I obtain music other than buying the cd.

I use them on occasion, they have stopped me from buying a lot of shit i would have made an uneducated guess/buy on in the past based on coverart/tracktitles/label/logo, when i previously had heard of the band, but not their music.

They have also opened up my musical tastes a lot and gotten me into bands i previously wouldn't have paid any thought to. The stuff i d/l and don't like, i end up deleting pretty quickly, and the stuff i like, i end up buying about 90% of it.

Convenient for finding bands I'm not familiar with. I download pretty much anything I can find that could possibly interest me. But still, nothing beats a physical album. If I like it, I'll buy it.

Blogpots and torrents are my two methods for getting new music. Since I have a pretty fast, my torrent downloads usually go pretty fast. But then, it's harder to find obscure stuff, so I use blogspots primarily. Most blogspots just contain the album cover and the tracklist, and little descriptive information, beyond a subgenre so I usually turn to other sources when I'm actually looking for new music. However, if I stumble across an interesting band on say, Braindead, enjoy their Myspace tracks, then I will go to blogspots to search for something,

Grind & Punishment is a pretty good blog that provides album reviews and the occasional interview. Other than that one, I don't really stick to one blog, save for maybe Invisible Oranges. I just google the stuff I want.

I've got my own blogspot, but I've yet to upload anything. I'm not planning on doing daily updates with no reviews and just the album cover, track listing, and a download link. So far, I'm thinking of basing the blog on grindcore, but seeing as my knowledge of grindcore nor grindcore are too expansive, I might need to get some help to keep the blog going. I'm confident in my writing ability, but I would like some other voices as well. I don't want my blog to become my private church for worshipping for Insect Warfare. If anyone's interested, then PM me.

Blogspots are a great way to discover new music, I use them pretty often.
That's what i do, if i find a band that caught my interest or someone recommend me to check one, i get some of the albums via blogs and if liked them enough i purchase the album online.

Blogs are easier to find stuff on and also a lot faster to download from than Soulseek or any p2p program.

I've been completely oblivious to this until now. I'm going to have to check this out. Also being young and jobless, I use torrents, but I'm slowly starting to buy back some stuff and make a physical collection.

I had that same idea. According to iTunes, I've got 718 albums, but according to my CD shelves, I've got a little over 200. So I've got a waaaays to go (although some of those are legitimate releases acquired through the internet that I just don't have in hard copy).
