I agree, I have a tendancy to just plain dislike most female vocals HOWEVER. Crystal Viper! Really, the first female metal performance I've heard that I've actually enjoyed.

the singer of Confessor used to irritate me heavily.....but the music compensates for the vocals. His vocals are so out out of place......take solitude aeturnus vocals and put them in a slow chugging Death/Doom band..fuckin weird combo

try listening to bands outside your comfort zone for once. I did it with power metal and now I like quite a few bands in the genre.
