Hey, thats actually great news. Though I will admit that most of those riffs sound bland and uninspiring; cool, but no soul or meaning...if you get what I mean. Eh, I still anticipate it's release.

One thing I hope is that they do less emperimental material like The Apostasy, and do more brutal material like in their earlier albums death metal albums.

Eh, perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but Behemoth never clicked for me. Even their earlier work, I've always viewed the music as pretty average =/

Still, like 'Veji4 said, it's not horrible,. I might check it out.

The last release I really liked from Behemoth was Pandemonic Incantations. I just think they made much better black metal than death.

I didn't care for them as a black metal band - but I do think they peaked with "Demigod." This one sounds like "Apostasy pt. 2," at least from what you can tell from the video. Not that that album was bad, but it was sort of uninspired compared to the two or three before it.

Apostasy was decent, had a couple great songs and some average ones. This sounds very similar, but of higher quality in my opinion. Looking forward to this.

I didn't like their previous album much (apart from "Christgrinding Avenue" it wasn't memorable in the least) but the riffs here sound more like a mix of said album + Demigod style-riffage, thus making them memorable again.

Sounds interesting to me.

I wish they'd go back to their Thelema.6 sound. That was my favorite era.

Definitely their best album, I agree. Antichristian Phenomenon/Vinum Sabbati/Inflamed With Rage...all classics.

Satanica is a very good album as well.

That video has got me really looking forward to the new album. I loved the Apostasy, and I hope that they continue to go in this epic death metal direction.

Behemoth is really great.

Couldn't agree more.

Demigod was a great album too. Very intense death metal action, was actually the first Behemoth album I had ever heard.

Apostasy was decent, but it really wasn't memorable. There were a few good tracks, but not a whole lot stood out to me. Wasn't a horrible release, really, just doesn't have replayability to me.

I never said you did say it sounded horrible =p

It was just my sentence structure, sorry it was slightly confusing.

Sounds good, but it's still typical Behemoth. At least they sound like they're staying consistent, thus far.

I too must be missing something. I feel like they have a good sound, but there's not enough substance or variety to it for me.

So far this seems to be true. I liked The Apostasy the best because it was different (albeit slightly). I was hoping this was going to be a continuation of that trend, but alas does not seem like it. Oh well. Still gonna be one of my most anticipated albums of 2009.

They sound soulless to me, sort of like a death metal version of " norsecore", if that makes any sense. Not my thing.

Well put RegularK.

It actually doesn't sound too bad, but I have no doubt these pre-production recordings will be better sounding then the final album, one only has to look at The Apostasy to find the definition of "flat and lifeless production." The riffs aren't bad, though I'd prefer if they cut all the Nile worship.

I'll probably end up getting this. Behemoth is just plain quality, and while they share similarities with quite a few other Polish bands (the very worthwhile Hate, for one) they still manage to maintain their own distinct sound.

I remember when I was just getting into extreme metal in 2003 and I found the "Decade ov Therion"-video somewhere... Fucking intense. Still, since then I moved into their black era instead.

MOOOOONSPEEEELL.... RIIIIIITEEEEEES!!!

In any case, I didn't think that was too bad. Haven't been into Behemoth since back then, but still... I think the riffing is pretty much similar, and that sounded like a flat rehearsal kind of recording, and I think it could come out pretty great of the mix.
