YES! This is a very bad idea and the capitalization of the first letter in the band name is sufficient enough.

Speaking of that's annoying as hell when you're trying to read an article and all you see is, caps and bolded, AUTOPSY, DIMMU BORGIR, IMMORTAL, DEW SCENTED. It's like OK I GOT IT.

If I type up something on a forum and mention a ton of band names I'll usually try and put all of them in bold, definitely makes it stand out more then just typing it in caps (although it is a bit more work).

Reviews (and other instances) where band names are all in caps tend to be slightly annoying, the first letter is more than enough. There's no real point anyway unless someone is too lazy to actually read everything and needs the name to stand out.

Having the band name in all caps is ridiculous and annoying and a terrible idea, and it would be especially annoying to see it for EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN BAND EVER. I do it for Paragon sometimes though.

Yes, I've seen people doing it for Manowar as well.
I've not seen it for Bolt Thrower, but I've seen it for BOLT FUCKIN' THROWER.

Nope, because then the bands actually stand out and doesn't blend in and also speed-readers can differentiate the name which you can't do now if only the first letter is done.

Also bands like JEEL, WASP and KA have to be capitalized.

'Jeel' and 'Ka' are wrong.

It's mostly just down to personal preference on the article thing. I would agree with FasterDisaster.

And...what? Nobody ever denied that certain bands are already capitalized. That does not, however, dictate that they HAVE to be. I'm sure nobody is going to call any of us out if we type "Jeel" or "Ka."

I disagree. It is EXACTLY enough to capitalize the first letter.

Also, on a tangent, people who capitalize names like "eXodus" or "uneXpect" deserve to die a horrendous death. Completely unnecessary and retarded to look at.

I think it'd get kinda annoying. I know I'll continue to stick to Dark Angel, Pestilence, Demilich, etc. instead of DARK ANGEL, PESTILENCE, DEMILICH.

I think we have come to a conclusion that AUTOPSY_666's idea, while having good intentions, fails miserably and shall never be spoken of again.
