What do you think about the last album from SEW? I listened to it very carefully and I have to say that it is their best work by far (the other albums are great, though). One of the best releases of the year, imho, at least in the black metal genre. I would call it as post-black metal with some punk influences. I can't really say it's still black because it lacks the evil/grim sound, it's quite "solar" music (pretty original and unique-sounding). It has some memorable tracks: II, III and V are all instant classics. It's a shame that the song "Somnus Leonis" wasn't included in the album (it's in the BMIA compilation), it would have fitted very well.

What do you think?

In only got "Magnificat" and is very good for me. From the description you gave of the last album, there has been a quite big change in terms of sounds!

Yeah, try "Non dvcor, dvco" and, obviously, "Vltra".

The former has quite a raw production (still better than Magnificat, though) and more old school sounding. Vltra has a clean production (it has been registered with vintage instruments) and a fresh and new sound.

I'll check them out!

Wow, the forum is back.

You can listen to all the album simply by searching Spite Extreme Wing on Youtube: the tracks are roman numerals, from I to X. Since it's on youtube, I think that it's legal...

Actually, unless the band gave permission, I think it is illegal. But who honestly cares? And any band that bitches about their music being on youtube are arse holes. Listen away!

I'm dowloading music myself, but hell... I can at least throw my downloaded (mmkay? kay...) shit on an mp3 player and listen to it, while going through grim and frostbitten park....

Listening to black metal on youtube? Are you fucking serious? Anyway, thanks for good bm recommendation.
