Who do you think was the better vocalist for Nocturnal Rites? Personally I think Anders was infinitely times better than Lindqvist. His tone is just really unique, and it bothered me at first, but I have adapted to it and now its just one of the best voices in power metal to me. Lindqvist on the other hand has a good range, but is kind of generic and boring to me.

John's vocals are much more powerful than Anders', whose voice also happens to irritate me beyond any limits.

Zackrisson all the way. One of my favorite vocalists of the 'modern' power metal era. 'Tales of Mystery and Imagination' rules.

He sounds good in Gotham City.

Lindqvist wouldn't be so maligned if he only sang on Afterlife and Shadowland, where he delivers a performance that far eclipses that of the solid but not quite excellent Zackrisson. He is quite generic, but he also sounds awesome, thus negating any generic-ness.

Honestly, I can't really pick between the two. My two favorite albums by them are "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination" and "Shadowland". Anders' vocal style is less common in the modern power metal scene, although back in the 80s his style was slightly more commonplace. He's with another project now that I am intent on following as I was royally pissed off when he first got ejected from the band, since I'd discovered and fell in love with their music about a month before he left.

Lindqvist does a great job on both "Afterlife" and "Shadowland", as well as the rest of the stuff, although I can't say the music was very good on the last album they put out.
