There are a lot of crappy bm bands without any talent like gontyna kry etc. if I can recommend something then:

Capricornus - Alone against all,
Evilfeast - The mysteries of the nocturnal forests,
Arkona - Nocturnal Arkonian Hordes

its releases are newer but bands started it that era...

I've been really digging Saltus "Imperium Slonca" lately. Not a big fan of their earlier material, though.

I'd also recommend Thunderbolt's Dark Clouds over Majesty

Was the polish blackmetal scene (1993 - 1998) as violent as the norwegian/swedish scenes from the same era? I was looking at the cover of Graveland's "In the Glare.." and I was curious if Darken (or anyone else from the same era) was involved with church burnings, etc. Also, can anyone suggest bands similar to Veles, Fullmoon, and Graveland that are from poland AND are from the same era? Thanks.

What they lack in criminal noteriety they tend make up for with nationalist and or idealogical sentiment. Not for lack of trying but not for the better either. Graveland and early Behemoth are one of only a handful of bands from the Polish black metal scene that I enjoy.
