One of my favorite songs to listen to stoned is Meshuggah's "Straws Pulled At Random"

Stoner story: I am listening to In the Nightside Eclipse in my car while straight and the thought keeps interrupting the music that the guitar is too thin, indistinct, and difficult to follow as a narrative instrument.

*later in the day I begin to crave burritos*

I get back in my car and the guitar sounds perfect somehow, and very easy to hear and follow along, despite outside traffic noises and such. Of course I'm very blown away. I used to somewhat dislike this album when I was new to black metal. Now I think that I must have been crazy.

I don't need no goddamn recreational drugs to enhance my listening experience, ever.

Well, alcohol does go along well with doom/stoner and funeral doom metal.

Yeah man, it's all good, harmless fun eh, want a puff?

Give in to peer pressure!

Oh, and Enslaved's "Vikingligr Veldi" is nicely hypnotic. I'm enjoying it right now.

Diabolical Masquerade's "Nightwork" is kicking my ass too.

It's funny to see all these black metal suggestions because I doubt any of the Norwegian bands blaze. In fact, does marijuana even EXIST in Norway? I'm from BC, Canada so it's like going grocery shopping here.

I concur. :)

Having sex with music on though ... Now that's 'a different kettle of fish'.
