I've chosen Sheogorath...but in the past I wanted Necromancer...right now I'm stuck on Sheogorath...but I kinda want something a bit cool and evil! any suggestions?

I kinda like necromancer better

Dude im in a black metal band called ShastaMcNasta and it basically just means we dont give a fuck . I honestly think Necromancer sounds ok and just ok. I dont think the name matters, as long as your tunes are cool.

Kinda sounds a little similar to Shagrath, which could be bad or good, depending on your Dimmu opinion.

Not to be negative or anything but i think Necromancer is a bit cliché isn't it? Shegorath sounds better though, my opinion.

Sheogorath is a god from TE5: Oblivion and i agree, the name sounds cool but i wouldn't be able to listen to your music seriously without being reminded of oblivion.

Pick something out of a lovecraft book. There's not really anything all that wrong with a video game name but maybe a more obscure game would work better.

Sheogorath is fine man. Besides you shouldn't be asking an internet forum for ideas on what to call your band. It ends up in awful threads like this one.

English words that are memorable and stick in the head make for better band names IMO.
Odd words like 'Sheogorath' etc are

a) Too cliched these days (Wouldve been fine if your band came out in the 90s, But these days too many bands use it.)
b) Easy to forget
c) Often misspelled when running searches etc.

(Of course, all that is irrelavant if your music is good.)

i've gotten lots of laughs but lots of compliments at the same time...so i mean...i'm happy with it, people are just gonna have to ignore the fact that its from a game...even though any REAL fan of black metal that has a 360, HAS THAT GAME! Necromancer is too generic. but hey, whenever I write stuff, I usually wait to name it until I have some material. It help me find a name that suits it best.

yeah im not the best either, as you can see, ive had to resort to a character in an epic video game...-_- but w/e Sheogorath still sounds sick, and the logo looks sick too.

I like really bleak black metal band names, (Dark Funeral for example.)
I do like your sheogorath name though. It works as a temporary... but you could do a bit better I think.
Either way, I hope it works out. I'm trying to start one myself.
