Hmm, new song is a bit of a grower...liking it better after a few listens. The chorus is way tougher than any Bon Jovi stuff I've heard, although I'm no BJ connoisseur. And those guitars are pretty ballsy. Maybe not Edguy's best song, but an interesting twist on their regular style.

I just think you're a huge fanboy.

j/k

I'm just not a fan of sludgy guitars like that. I hope the rest of the album is a little "sharper" I guess you could say.

Indeed, the tone does sound a little... muddy (could be Youtube), and the downtuning doesn't help.

Yeah, probably. This is one of those handful of bands that I would like in almost any mode, probably.

The new song is pretty damn awesome. The heavier guitars are really interesting and definitely sound great. I hope there are some faster and less heavy songs on the album too though. Also, it's good to hear that Tobias' voice is still as truly amazing as ever.

I'm really, really looking forward to this album!

I'm just hoping the rest of Tinnitus Sanctus is not like "Ministry Of Saints".
Aølthough the song is a grower, I also hope it's not representing how the rest of the album sounds.

I don't think any of their albums have stuck to one mode all the time. Rocket Ride didn't sound like Superheroes, Hellfire Club not like King of Fools.

Is it me or does the song clip? Theyre not brickwalling this album are they? Or it could be the shitty youtube quality.

What exactly does "brickwalling" mean? I have a general idea, but I am not sure. Google didn't provide any immediate results either.

I'm pretty sure if you were to look at the sound frequency or whatever it's called through something like Audacity, it would be almost completely solid top to bottom, like Death Magnetic. Which of course, can be an album killer if you castrate an album by brickwalling it.

I heard another new song called "Dead Or Rock," and it does rock, with a barn-burning chorus and a lot of catchy, grooving hard rock riffs for your consumption. Reminds me of Saxon and Helloween in a lot of places.

edit: Apparently there are some samples on the Nuclear Blast site, this is going to rule. Trust me.

Well, I ordered it off eBay for about 12 bucks, not a bad deal.

And come on, someone else must be interested in this.

I'm hoping their next one will be sung in German. But that might be asking too much.
