What chords resolve to what other chords? I really don't know much on this subject at all.

I know that the seven chord resolves to the I, and that you can usually resolve chords up a fourth or down a fifth. That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge.

Some help would be appreciated.

Going down a fifth is equivalent to going up a fourth, you'll just be an octave higher or lower. It's just chord V to chord I.

From a classical perspective, the only chords that really resolve nicely are the ones you've described there, known as a Perfect Cadence (sometimes known more generally as an Authentic Cadence). There are other classical cadences that resolve kindof-ish, but not with the same strength as the Perfect cadence.

Look up cadences on wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadence_(music)

That's pretty much all there is to it. Obviously it's not a set-in-stone rule, but you'll probably find that most things that sound 'nice' can be explained in terms of those cadences.
