I am gonna buy some new pickups for my ESP LTD M-100 instead of buying a new guitar right away. Ive looked online a little but having a hard time picking some out. I want the best tone i can get, i like thrash, heavy, death metal, and some melodic death metal too. They are gonna have to be passive unless i wanna tape the battery on the back or make hole. So please suggest some good pick ups for bridge and neck. I'm gonna spend like max 200 $ and my dads gonna help me put them in.

Tom Anderson pickups. Here is a price list and description of sound: http://www.andersonguitars.com/tonelibpickup.cfm

A friend of mine has these ( HN2+ and H3 ) and they sound fantastic. For neck you can get anything really depending on what tone you want.

For what its worth... I recommend selling the M-100, and taking the $200 you have now, and buying a quality used guitar. Look on ebay for LTD 300, 301, and 302 guitars. They are VERY nice instruments, and they usually go for $3-400 with upgraded hardware, and $1-250 with the stock pickups.

At over $400 a set you have successfully suggested something twice the OP's price range.

Nice observation. Fortunately it is possible to buy pickups second hand, or even better save up more money.

He uses Seymour Duncan '59 pickups in the neck. They sound pretty good.

Tom Anderson pickups have the same quality as Bare Knuckle, but they're made in the USA. Bare Knuckles aren't really that expensive, but after taxes, shipping, and the weak dollar, they cost a lot over here.

For cheap and hot pick ups I suggest EMG - HZ.

a WCR Icebucker.

Jim Wagner makes the best pickups. Put one in my RR3 last week and it made my JB sound like a duncan designed pos. At 215 for the bridge it won't kill you and it is great for leads too. It sounds better than my neck pickup a Jazz for leads and you don't even have to switch. He even makes it for you and ships it out surprizingly fast with lots of options. You know Jon Schaffer wouldn't put his name on it if it wasn't actually the best in the world. For fuck sake he plays with $10,000 in amps on stage and about $20,000 in guitars.

But anyways i gotta finnish paying off my Epiphone sg prophecy. Im really short on money right now.

My friend has the invader in a samick les paul and I have the Icebucker in my RR3. I think my tone destroys his. But I play in B standard and he plays in E. He also plays through a blue voodoo tube amp and I use a valvestate hybrid. You can't go wrong with the WCR but it is very sensative so if your sloppy it will let you know quick.
