I think that if you add genre tags for the account they will be automatically added for releases too. Maybe that's what happened. Who knows...

Anyway. Nice stuff. The guitar sound fits perfectly to this kind of stuff. I'm usually a fan of fast songs and fast riffing, but the slow crushing parts really shine through.
