There has been a change of plans. Instead of being my last review of 2012, Darkend will be my first review of 2013. I will be focusing on my top 10 in order to hopefully post it between christmas and new year.

Blog update:
Italy's Dark End, though their name may be a bit unoriginal, have delivered what is in my eyes one of the best symphonic black metal albums in years. The review's a bit longer than usual, but there's a lot of ground to cover!

Next update:

True, many thrash bands do seem to have more fans than they deserve on facebook

Blog update:

There's good music, there's okay music, there's bad music and then there is Lamia Hyde and the Southern Witches. A band that, despite its name, consists of a single person who hasn't got a single speck of talent in his entire body. There's a youtube video in review if you don't believe me.

Wow, you weren't kidding about Lamia Hyde and the Southern Witches. That has to be the sloppiest guitar playing/artwork I have heard or seen on something made public and everything else isn't far off from that. If it isn't a joke, I hope the guy keeps working on improving.

After last time's horrible efforts this week's review serves as a reminder that it's possible to make good music. Italy's ambient/noise project Agamotto deliver an effort of 6/10 guitars on their self-titled opus.
