Last year Descent Productions quit most of its activity as a label. At this moment the German Eisenwald Tonschmiede will take over part of the distribution network and will take care of spreading "The Fourth Era" and "Misotheism". Labels and shops interested in trades and wholesales can get in touch with Eisenwald. Next up is the special edition 12" vinyl release of "Misotheism" on Eisenwald, set for the first part of 2009.

The wait is over! Gorath inked a multiple record deal with German distro/label Twilight Vertrieb (known for their work with Endstille, Koldbrann, Belphegor, Sarkom, Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult, Bliss of Flesh, The Monolith Deathcult and a lot more). Gorath's fourth one, MXCII, again is a concept album all about local history, facts and religious items - All seen through the eyes of the heretic. Mixed at Shumcot Studio by Reinier Schenk and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound. The release is set for early 2010.

Gorath have started the recordings for their upcoming album to be released in the first part of 2011 through Twilight Vertrieb. Album number 5 will again be a concept album of which more information will be released during the coming months. Recordings and mix are set for January at Gorath's home based Crestfallen Studio and the Shumcot Studio. Tore Stjerna (Necromorbus Studio) will take care of the final mastering. Invert the triangle and cross your fingers for what it might be worth!

Apokálypsis - Unveiling the Age that is not to Come is about the Apocalypse of John. Many have tried to interpret these visions, but very few have managed to look beyond the madness, beyond the deceit of the false “God” that so many weaklings worship. Those desperate fools who put their faith and hope in the final judgement by their “God” are up for an unpleasant revelation, for He is not who He claims to be. Cursed is he who reads aloud the words of the prophecy and doomed are those who hear and who keep what is written therein.

Tracks:
1. Before the Throne of the Demiurge
2. The Seven Seals
3. Wrath of God
4. Le Porteur de Lumière
5. Beasts from the Earth and the Sea
6. Whore of Babylon
7. Millennium (Thousand Years of Darkness)

Live presentations:
24.09.2011 - The Zoo - Hasselt (BELGIUM) release show: Gorath only
15.10.2011 - Gryphus - Vierlingsbeek (NETHERLANDS) release show with Cirith Gorgor,...
29.10.2011 - Schacht 1 - Oberhausen (GERMANY) with Eisregen, Forgotten Tomb,...

More info & song: http://www.gorath.be
Releasedate through Twilight Vertrieb: September 2

The Chronicles of Khiliasmos had been out for a month now. The first wave of feedback is mixed. Some do not understand the repetitive droning atmosphere, far away from the blastbeats on our previous records. Others do understand the same repetitive droning atmosphere, full of Apocalyptic soundscapes and devastating heaviness, like a tsunami swallowing the light... Pick your language.

Goodbye show in Belgium: 2013 April 27, supported by Saille.

Echoes and Dust (UK)
"These guys give black metal a whole new meaning and therefore another post-x genre can be given to this band: post-black metal, or call it progressive black metal. Gorath creates a huge sound full of doom and atmosphere, whilst a huge amount of heavy riffing sludge seep into the mix."

Heavy Hardes (DE)

Heavy Worlds (IT)

Lords of Metal (NL)

Louder than War (UK)
"The chronicles of Khiliasmos" is an outstanding release, and a fitting culmination to the legacy of Gorath that not only reminds people of their dark experimentation but hints at the potential of future projects."

Shoot me Again (FR)
