Hey. I was wondering if anybody wants to collaborate with me for a death metal project? It'd all be online of course. I like the more "brutal" styles of death metal, plus some of that "djent" (I know, I know) stuff. I generally run through a POD HD300 or various LePou VSTs for my tone, but I also have a cheap rig consisting of an old Marshall VS100 head, a Crate GT1200H head, and a Marshall AVT412a cab along with a Shure SM57 mic. My guitar is an Agile Intrepid 930 9 string guitar, tuned one half step lower (so: C-F-A#-D#-G#-C-F#-G#-D# I think). So, I could do that, or half step higher/lower.

I would like to think of myself as a solid rhythm player and I can also do a variety of low growls and screamed vocals. Having some form of Guitar Pro tab software would be a huge plus (Guitar Pro 5/6 is even better!). Basically, we'd write songs and share them through email. EX: If I did the guitar work, I'd email my tracked guitars to the bassist, vocalist, and drummer (if there is one) for them to do their part of the song.

Let me know :)

A question about your guitar tuning - your low string, a C, is that a C as in 2 steps below the low string of a bass in standard tuning?

I'll be glad to have that cause we were discussing originally for me to record bass but I rather you do so.

I'd be interested in doing vocals since that black metal band is not happening it seems. I have p. good lows and mids.

Hey there. I am looking to collaborate with some other musicians myself. Death metal vocalist here. Check out the stuff on my soundcloud and let me know if youd be interested. I could either engineer dry tracks and lay my vocals over it or vis versa. You send me some music, ill record my vocals and send em to whoever to mix/master. I've got a good buddy who can work magic with it. He mixed the sample titled "Sacrifice" enjoy!
