Well, I still have time. I think I have a song in mind, I might be able to do something. I'm in the middle of west texas where it's a desolate fucking desert, and when it rains it storms and they close down everything. Yesterday I was drinking a beer called "storm king" and it clicked with me as a cool name for an old school style hard rock/stoner metal song. I'm going to try to do something with that.

I finished mine today.

I'll check this thread before the submission date to see where I should put my files for the organizer. I may tweak the drums or rewrite the solo in the meantime, depends on how I feel about the song after a week.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to write the lyrics and try my hand at some vocals. Should be interesting how it turns out.

I'm in the same boat. The second solo on mine was made up on the spot, and after a few listens it comes off as rather weak so I'll probably redo it. I also might redo vocals for one part, as the phrasing is a bit off and I think they should probably be a bit more aggressive. Besides that, I'm relatively happy with it. I'm still not the greatest at recording, but this is a vast improvement on that dud that I crapped out for the doom challenge.

just submitted mine, I'll admit I forgot about this for a while and didnt remember about it until this week, but I'm glad a riff popped into my head earlier today that pretty much turned into the song.

I won't finish mine. I'm just not happy at all with the results so far. Sorry.

I sent a link with the songs that are hosted up, I still haven't done mp3s cause I've just been focusing on mixing and getting all this other material that's needed for splits ready.

Not sure if I'm going to be submitting anything either. I like my song but I just don't have the voice to do the vocals the way I want. If I can figure something out by today I'll submit, if not then I'll just have to keep practicing a lot and one day finish it.

By the way, does anyone know where I can hire Janne Christoffersson to sing for me?

I generally feel the same way, I'm still working on my voice. But I don't take these songwriting challenges very seriously, I treat them as practice and always experiment. I've heard Only a Shadow Remains, you should submit your song regardless of how your vocals come out.

Well, I'm trying to sing cleanly on this song, and I suck at singing, especially after a bottle of wine, hahahaha. I'll go ahead and submit what I have though.
