Hi all. This is an industrial metal/rock song I am currently in the process of recording (it's not completed yet) and I was wondering whether anyone would be willing to provide some feedback as to what they think of it so far. I do the vocals in this project. My inspirations include Marilyn Manson, KoRn, Murderdolls, Mushroomhead, Hellfire Society etc.

sounds too much like a remix of Manson's newer stuff.
and not a fan of the vocals.

almost good. but not quite.

Also, that vocal recording pic confirmed what I suspected: SLK records shirtless in a sweaty caveman-like delirium. You can almost hear the man stink in the recordings.

This is definitely not metal, I think the vocals are poor too, some beats are decent though.

^ +1.

I kind of don't know where to start. It's really derivative, you know? And yeah .. two alternating percussive single-note samples of distorted guitar does not a metal make. And I can't really say that seeing that KoRn was one of your influences got us off on the right foot. I wish it had been more like Marilyn Manson .. but really it didn't sound much like him at all. Sorry, bro.

When reading everyone's feedback I hope you are keeping in mind that the audience of listeners here is on average unlikely to be particularly receptive to the music you list as your inspirations for this track.

As far as feedback, I really don't care for the style in that it isn't metal to me, but I think I can offer something constructive for you to work on. Your vocal work here is really uneven, articulation strained to get your tone, range seems forced beyond your current comfort zone, and volume control needs work (maybe a pop screen would help?). Everything else was much more polished in comparison.

The music's pretty decent, it sounds kind of like darkwave, maybe something like Diary of Dreams.

I didn't like the vocals though, maybe you should get someone else to do them.
