Suddenly a track Clips to 1000+ and a beeeeep noise comes from either left or right speaker. what should I do ? my ear is already fucked from noise, and I need to finish mixing, I've done most of it, but after 4 hours it's clipping everytime I play the song, each time a random track clips ..........
any help is appreciated.

Raise your buffer to maximum setting.

so it's related to sound card being unable to process all audio data ? unfortunately the ASIO4ALL driver buffering is maximum :(

What he means is raise the latency, since it doesn't matter as much when you are mixing. You can also try MME or DirectX (Direct Sound), because they work fine if you add enough latency.

ASIO4all is not that great, I was getting a lower latency with better sound with an external sound card with multiple inputs and outputs with MME, but I can't use the other outputs. I can't even use that sound card at all with ASIO4all, it won't recognize it and defaults to the internal sound card.

If this doesn't work, try another program to mix in. I was using Reaper for Mac, and it stopped working (although I am not very surprised because it's for a higher OS than the one I have). So I just found the place where the .wavs were stored, loaded them into Audacity and it works. For Windows there's also Kristal Audio Engine, free and easy to use.

By the way, I don't know about the Windows version, but the Audacity Mac 1.3.2 beta version makes .wavs which were recorded fine clip, 1.2.6 works fine though.

Actually, I am not sure what the problem was with Reaper on my mac, I think it wasn't my OS, but I noticed they recently put new versions of Reaper, so I downloaded a new version and it seems to work. You might want to download the newest version too, it might work better.
