Not sure if we are allowed to do this on here but Im gonna do it anyways... :\

My name is Marc, and I am seeking out a band to sing with. I can do clean vocals, growls, and screaming (if i must). I am a big folk metal fan, some of my favourite bands are Eluveitie, Korpiklaani, Blackguard, and Ex Deo(there more death metal than folk).

I live in Regina, Canada but will be moving to Kansas around August sometime and was wondering if anyone would like to start a band down there. I will attending university so my availability may be limited but I am sure once a week will not be that difficult.

contact me at my email which is: [email protected]

Thanks and keep the metal going!

Marc

Sadly, this forum has a huge anti folk metal sentiment espescially bands like Eluveitie and even more so, Blackguard. Just thought I should warn you. Good luck with finding a band.

It also sounds like he says "The raven licks my asshole" as the first vocal line there. It never fails to crack me up.

I feel that I need to emphasize how much Blackguard is hated around here. I've never seen a word of praise for them on the forums, and their album is rated 38% on the database.

EDIT: Also, have you tried Craigslist? It might be easier on there than on here, since it has so much more traffic.

thats unfortunate that folk metal is not very well appreciated here :(

I admit, Blackguard's album is not the greatest but they do have a new cd coming out, and they are on the rise (fan wise). Plus the first CD under Profugus Mortis called So It Begins... is quite an excellent album.

Only crappy folk metal is disliked. Look at Primordial's scores. Or Falkenbach. Or Moonsorrow.

I love folk metal. I'd get together for something, but I live in Pennsylvania..

Too far my friend...too far.

The thing is I am going down to the States for college baseball and I have gotten 5 offers from Kansas, 1 for Colorado, and 1 from Missouri. That is why I stated Kansas (simply because of all the offers).
