A combination of playing guitar, lifting weights and working for a moving company gave me a case of tendonitis over the summer. I have seen a couple of docters about it and they always just say "rest it, do some wrist exorcises, and ice it occasionally" I have done that, yet here I am 4 months later and it is just as bad as it was earlier.

Sometimes it starts feeling better, but the slightest thing sets it back.
I want to avoid surgery because I am afraid of the effects that might have on my guitar playing. I am in several bands, and they are all getting frustrated with my condition, since I cant play as often, or as long, as I used to.

Anyone here ever get it?

I have heard about some procedure where they inject a steroid into the muscles around the tendon, anyone know much about that?

Any advice?

I know a guy who was damn good at bass and basically stopped playing because of tendonitis. I asked him about it years later and he still wasn't where he used to be in terms of ability. He might have just given up or decided that playing 6 hours a day wasn't a priority anymore.
