So, when is the submission date?

I have finalized the riffs, and plan on recording tonight and probably spend the weekend doing drums and mixing.

Yeah, everyone can PM their track to me and I'll post the results in a new thread in the metal forum most likely so it gets more discussion. I'm pretty excited to hear what you guys have come up with.

I'm pretty much done with mine now.
I sat out to make it pretty much a "Make A Change Kill Yourself"-clone, but I think I failed fairly horribly in that regard. Hopefully it'll still have enough of a DSBM-feel to it for it to qualify.
I managed to get a little bit of whistle in there, though, that certainly wasn't easy.

I am completed with my piece, instrumentally. Everything instrument-wise is tracked, processed, and pre-mixed. Lyrics, vocals, and final mixdown is on the agenda for tomorrow.

Finished.

Well, I wasn't planning on it, but why the fuck not

It actually makes me think of Winds Of Plague if they were a great band. Very cool song and really not TOO far removed from the Alas, Tyranny style; I could see it being a slightly oddball track on the next disc. There's hints of this sort of thing all over the second demo; it just has the slam added.

By the way, I've decided to sweeten the prize a little bit. The CD pack stays the same, but instead of choosing one track to do in a particular style, I will write, record, and release a full demo (length of my choosing, but reasonable for the style) in the dictated style. Try to keep it at a level I can handle, though; only an intermediate guitar player and absolutely not a clean vocalist.

Will you be posting these tracks for the public to hear once the contest is over? I'd really like to hear what everyone has come up with.

I just submitted my song, Butcher Me. Actually, it sucks a bit, the drums sound like shit, but at least I didn't bitch out.
