This was accidentally posted in the Tavern earlier.

Last night I purchased a Dean Markley Promag Grand acoustic humbucker for my acoustic guitar. However, when I place the humbucker into my acoustic and turn my amp on, I can't get any sound to come from my amp; it's as though nothing's being played on the guitar. Any help would be greatly appreciated; by the way, I'm using a Marshall Mode Four halfstack, if that helps.

I have a strong feeling, that you have installed the pickup in a nylon stringed acousti guitar and that the pickup is quite like the ones in electric guitars, so it will only pick up the sound of metallic strings, and thus is meant only for steel stringed acoustics.

^No sir, the strings aren't nylon. I had regular steel strings on earlier and it didn't work, but the strings were as old as hell so I changed to bronze, some Martin bluegrass strings; still no luck.
Any other suggestions, anybody?
