and what i mean by new is new to it, i know the basics but any pointers on playing quicker and with precision. cords n stuff? just need suggestions

Practice simple chord progressions until you get them right, then speed them up.

Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

Practise major and minor (both melodic and harmonic) scales along the neck.
Start at slow speeds of course and make sure the notes you play are clean.


I did this by playing one octave in a certain key and repeating it until I became faster and faster. Then try to extend the scale to two octaves, then three, then so on.

Break each octave into separate bits before combining.
