Hello, fellow metal musicians. I have these questions to you.
What sounds from the voice list on your keyboards do you use for your metal songs mostly?
Of course, it depends on style of metal you play. As you surely know the key voice lists include organ, accordion, strings and many others instrument.
Piano is easy discernible in metal songs as well as church organ. Both of them are used very often. But no the same for all voices.
And what keyboard sounds would you choose for Trash Metal or Death in order to prime songs?
Could you recommend any voices/instuments?
Thanks in advance.

Depends entirely on the sound you are going for...For example, I use a variety of orchestral sounds, as I'm going for an epic sound.

Diamhea: So I listened your songs on my Space and must say that you play an excellent music. It is bright, very subtle and melodic at the same time. Good work, really. Simply i would label it as a remarkable Black/Death Metal.
What type of keyboard do you use?

The first two songs are with a KORG LE. The other, older ones are with a Casio WK-3700. Both are great keyboards for their respective price points.

Thank you, as well.

I don't know what style you could incorporate this into, but I've always found that the Hammer Dulcimer is a pretty powerful sound.

I also like synthetic guitar and bass sounds-like stuff they use in video games and such.

I've also experimented with low heavy brass sounds. I remember playing songs from the Godzilla movies with those sounds. Those are beastly.

My band uses a lot of keyboard, we generally approach it like an orchestra, there's usually a few layers of brass, a few layers of strings and sometimes woodwinds. Brass usually dominates more, we just like the sound of it. Piano in several parts, usually it's playing alone or a lead melody when we use it. Sometimes orchestral percussion, I love timpani and bells. We've used organs, usually playing something slow and creepy and the new album we're writing has two songs with harpsichord.

I bought a $200 USB keyboard that I plug into my laptop and record/program melodies that way. I've just downloaded new sounds along the way. Tedious going through all that but it's worth it when you find something you know you want to use.

My band

(the song "Annus Terribilis (Parasite Lost)" is kind of a preview demo while we finish writing and recording so it reflects the latest keyboard sounds I have)

By the way, Diamhea, really like your stuff! I'll definitely have to keep an eye on your band.
