I recently picked up my bass again and wanted to know what should be in practice routine. If you guys have any tips for ear training that would help alot.
Ive been practicing scales but dont really do much else.
Any tips?

a good friend of mine is a bassist. I asked him how much he practiced and he said and i quote "Play until you fucking bleed!" Being a guitarist, I don't really recommend it. However, if you use a pick, work on tremolo. With fingers, strengthen each finger individually and then use them as a "group". (Using three fingers can accomplish gallops). As for practicing itself, do it as often as you can for as long as you can. Side note: work on "finger calistectics"
