Eh, their Symphonic library is 67 GB or so, so 32 GB is nothing. East West samples is generally good quality, so it's probably worth the money.
Personally I'd rather have Reaktor 5, though, considering the vast amount of user-generated ensembles it allows you to use.

Depends on what you are after.

Colossus is kind of like a giant GM module with some extras.


If you want "specialized" sounds Im not sure its the right bet. If you want a collection of "general" sounds then its probably the best there is.

East West is pretty god damn awesome... But I'd rather have their specialized libraries, like the Choir and Symphonic Library.

Colossus is the shit. Trust me. I have it. Great samples and they are all touch sensitive. I use it all the time. Youre never going to find ethnic and fretless bass samples better than colossus' and its damn easy to use. Im glad I 'bought' it.

Colossus is alright, I don't prefer it. I have Symphonic Choirs, Orchestra Gold XP Pro, Ra and Stormdrum (in addition to Colossus).

They have very minimal multi-samples, lack quite a lot in the keyswitch articulations and there is no round robin sampling. No thanks.

There are a few sample libraries I'd recommend over Colossus for everything that it contains, on an individual basis. The advantage that Colossus has is that it has a very wide variety of sounds, but none of them are the best that one can find.
