Hi guys, I've been really interested for the longest time in recording music but I really don't want to buy any software of fancy hardware for it just yet. I've thought about the possibility of buying a good mic though.

I just wanted to try out the experience of recording my own music in a decent way.

We have an MacBook at home and it has GarageBand installed. Would that do for basic recording?

I would think a guitar, drum and vocal track would do for intial recording. Would GB do the trick?

Basic pointers and necessary equipment tips/tricks would be very helpful.

Thanks!

I personally don't like the Garageband software but for "free" it's good enough. Go for it and see how you like it!
