I've always liked to keep things pretty organic when I record, as few vst's as possible, and I want to look at an eq pedal that I can record guitar, bass, and synths with (possibly my mic) so I can edit my eq levels physically. I know the sound wouldn't be on the top but play black metal,doom, and experimental stuff with a lo-fi tone anyway so I'm not looking for a device to give me the tone on the level as a dmmu or modern behemoth record. Can you guys recommend some eq pedals?

A Boss GE7, or a Boss GE10 if you want more bands.

I don't recommend it. Nobody's going to care whether your EQ was added with a pedal or digitally, and it will limit your options when recording.

I will look at these but I suppose I could also just try working more with other forms of equalization.
