Hi !

I usually work with Cubase, but used to record guitars in Reaper.
VSTs I use are : Alchemy, Magnus Choirs, Orchestral, Symphobia, Guitar Rig 5, sometimes Massive and some more minor plugins.
Hope it helps you a little bit.

For some reason, I'm imagining you as a garden gnome....

Are you talking about digitally programming the guitar, or recording your own? I'm thinking any one of those would be easy to search for on youtube or google.

My guitarist uses Reason for writing riffs and songs and what not.

I think Murtal might actually be looking for a VST plugin that would simulate a guitar, if I'm reading right...

You could try FL Slayer as a placeholder, but there really isn't anything that will synthesize a truly convincing guitar for a finished recording. While people have put a lot of work into PCM and sample based synthesis to create useful string and orchestra instruments, there really isn't anything out there for guitar as far as I know. I figure it's just easier to learn to play guitar than attempt to design a digital replacement.

There are VST instrument's that can replace pretty nice guitars @CorpseFister. Check That link for example. With some proper use it can sound really good.

Huh, wouldn't have guessed. Flicking through other demos of the plugins they sound better on some things than others, but overall decent. I stand corrected.
