hello - would anyone know what are some good pedals and things to get a guitar tone along the lines of Xasthur and Striborg? anything helps, thnxs c:

Any distortion pedal really. Their sound comes from multitracking layers upon layers of guitars and synths. And use of "big" chords, not just power chords.
Xasthur used some amp modelers on most of the records if I remember some interviews right.

Cheap solid-state practice amp distortion with lots of treble (I'm thinking the cheap Fender, Ibanez, Peavey amps). Pedals, stuff like the Boss MT, Digitech Death Metal can give you that tone easily, but really any kind of distortion pedal with enough gain.
