Been playing a lot of black metal by ear lately and surprisingly not really struggling but this song has some chords that I can't seem to figure out I know its a variant of a power chord of some type anyone know?

Sounds like E-minor chord, then fret 3 on the low E only, then A-minor chord, and finally fret 1 on the low E. Of course, this is first listen for me so there could be a small variation. But there are some chords in there that are not power chords, so don't rely on that basis.
