DURECO matrix is obviously an official release, and the first press. This was the copy I had that I sold. It has the goat and embassy logo on the disc I "think".

I would say that the DOOM matrix is a bootleg if that is all it includes. A label would have some form of catalogue number for their release on there so that the plant would know which discs are for which release.

I don't think that it is mysterious, all DURECO DSP CDs had a silver centre unless I am mistaken. The one I had is the myterious version you speak of, and I know for a fact it was the first press as I had researched a lot into it before I bought it originally due to this exact debate. I think the clear one is a second press (or a cheaper extra first press to make more numbers of the CD fast).

The DOOM from having a quick look is a load of old bollocks bootleg.

Has anyone seen the new Greek DSP bootleg LPs by the way? It seems many people on eGay are being fooled by them and buying them.

Good point. Looking at it now, I had the second CD down of the Gorgoroth CD. The other could either be a bootleg (which isn't that likely) or a cheaper second pressing.

The second one looks very much like a real deal.

Yes, it is possible the other one is a second press.

Someone who know where the "gorgroth" press without embassy on disc came from? Is it old/new/original/boot?

I have the version with only "GORGOROTH" being the matrix code. It is definitely an original as I bought it in a reliable metal shop on the date of the release.
With that being said, this version is also a firstpress without knowing if the other versions have been available the same day.

The one without the Embassy logo on the disc itself is a bootleg possibly done by No Colours Records (they sold it, at least).

I have a CD with the "DOOM"-Matrix. I asked the guy who had it before. He said that he buyed it several years ago from another person... what a pity - not more information.

I used to have cds with "GORGOROTH" and "DOOM" matrixes. In comparision to "DOOM" "GORGOROTH" looked like pure boot, with shifted matrix and not clearly printed booklet.

Just noticed that "DOOM" and mysterious "DURECO" have a bit huge embassy logo comparing to accurate ones on Vlad Tepes cds

I've never seen genuine "DURECO" cd, but according to discogs it seems to have no logo at all

Yes, you're absolutely right genuine "DURECO" is with logo and it's also huge. I was just confused with the bunch of pics on discogs without any order.

What about your matrix, is it a bit shifted down?

I just remember that inside booklet and on the back cover of "GORGOROTH" cd text in some places was almost unreadable. Although front cover print looked fine. Unfortunately i can't provide detailed pics as both my copies are gone long ago. Only one photo remained

A "DOOM"-version with promosheet? According to this promosheet, this CD is limited to 1000 copies and the "DOOM"-version is the real first press? Or it's just a fake?

Yupp, this looks like the original version.

This IS the original version! I own a copy of this C.D., i bought it in 1994 from Embassy/Phil Galliano, so I'm sure it's the original first press (with matrix Dureco TE 01)

The one with "Gorgoroth" on the CD inner ring is a total bootleg. The booklet is indeed unreadable on the inside, and the CD looks cheap. I had it but sold it. The one I own now has "Doom" on it and is practically identical to the one with Dureco. Not sure which is the first and second pressing though...

Also the Dureco with silver centrum is a bit "mysterious".

I didnt bought that album in 94', but a few years back, I used to have the Malicious Records version before, and now I have two on the Embassy, "DURECO TE01" with silver centrum and "gorgoroth" with no goat or embassy logo.

Maybe I have bought myself two bootlegs. LOL

I checked my copy at home, which I bought from a distro back then, and it's the DURECO with silver centrum. So I can vouch for it that at least that version is legit. Ofcourse all the others can be legit as well, I really don't know. I also have no clue to the order of the legit presses, mine could be a first press, but might as well not be. Hope this helps.

Due to the year/date the DURECO plant stopped pressing CDs, it must be the first press, and the DOOM matrix was used later on.
