..and yet I received no tracking number from you.

I was going to wait a little longer before publicly calling this guy out as a scammer, as it's not something I enter into lightly, and it looked pretty much like you guys already are avoiding him, but after seeing him trying to boost his credibility by accusing someone else here of trying to cheat him in another thread, and most of all, the fact that he attempted to initiate another trade with me (through a different site) by using a different ("real") name and email address, I don't see much reason to hold off any longer. In the unlikely event that his end of the trade shows up at my door in the near future, and it has all been an incredible calamity of errors/coincidences that has led me to believe this guy is anything but deceitful, I'll be more than happy to retract my statement and apologize.

Seeing that he's probably dropped the bgbssmn2/Michael alias by now, or is running multiple aliases at the same time, I will just say proceed with extreme caution when dealing with anyone who gives you an address on Main Street in Red Lion, Pennsylvania.

He's got this same thread out on about 20 other forums and who knows where else. I only hope anyone thinking of dealing with him will google his user name and find this thread.

I post under the same name 'denim' on the foreverdoomed forum (the old southern lord board) - check me out in the good traders section.. Im also very good friends with the moderator / owner of the site.

basically this piece of shit screwed me over on a whole stack of rare black metal cd's.

I hold my hands up high and admit ive been totally pathetic and should have read the warning signs.

This man 'Michael' (allegedly) sent me around 12 cd's by USPS recorded delivery and gave me the tracking number and said i could trace it all the way. But he wanted me to send my 'trade' package within 24 hours.. which i did. I had the same excuses about paypal / cancer / no digital camera. He gave me his phone number as well (its probably fake) so i wont post it here - ( i dont want some old widow getting verbally abused)..
Around an hour ago the postman delivered me a letter which my wife signed for and it had a blank piece of A4 paper in it. When i popped home for lunch today i saw the envelope and my heart dropped.. I knew id been scammed...

Now my cd's havent actually been delivered to his address yet - so at some point he must be going there to get them.. They need to be signed for by someone and it isnt a random PO BOX... so obviously this is all the evidence anyone needs to clarify this is his actual address....

I would have thought there is enough evidence here to get the police onto this fucking wanker...

i will post the tracking details here if anyone requests them for whatever reason...

This guy has been harassing Dark Music Domain for years through eBay auctions. He bids a lot, wins, conjures a story about having to mail payment, and then unregisters his particular eBay ID before anyone can do anything. He re-registers new IDs and starts again.

Recently, he registered on MySpace as Michael Byers, claiming to be associated with an upstart radio station, WDMH Wild Dog Radio, in Pennsylvania (USA). He messaged tons and tons of artists - mostly dark ambient / experimental - begging for CDs to play in their various shows to get them started.

On a hunch, First Fallen Star sent him nothing! After the problems with James Arwine on eBay, we dredged up his postal address and compared it to Michael's. Guess what? They're the same.

Some day, this may catch up with him in a very bad way. (Perhaps some folks here in the USA could pay him a visit?) For now, spread the word - and his identity - wherever relevant, so that people are aware that this guy scams others on a large scale. Dark ambient, rock, metal, industrial, noise, whatever - he listens to it all.
