Gevurah (USA): Anno MMXI // MC // 6 EuroDebut demo of one of North America’s most promising Black Metal acts. Three orthodox rooted hymns in the vein of early Deathspell Omega or Ofermod. Very well played and fine produced. Pro-Inlay and black tape. Highly recommended & definitely not mentioned for the last time here.
Ghäst (Canada)/Abandoner (USA): Split // CD // 8 EuroTwo ultra heavy songs from each band. Ghäst is painful and bleak Drone/Sludge/Doom – recommended to everyone who enjoys listening to Corrupted or Moss. Abandoner is Jaay and Ryan from New York based Unearthly Trance but at different vibe. They deliever some low, industrial-soaked Drone with an overall negative atmosphere. This is an hell of a release and will ruin your happy sunshine day for sure.
Gnaw Their Tongues (Netherlands): Spit at Me and Wreak Havoc on My Flesh // CD // 10 EuroOriginally self-relased back in 2006, this edition comes completely re-mastered with re-vamped artwork by Mories/Mastering Graphics. »Spit at Me and Wreak Havoc on My Flesh« is a wonderful mix of noise-drenched avantgarde Black Metal, slow, harrowing droning Doom and trance inducing chaos. The material is riddled with samples from the bible, an explanation of an autopsy and drug confessions from ex-prostitutes. Dark and filthy music that deals with even darker subjects. CD packaged in carton cover with inner card sleeve re-released by Ominous Silence Records.

And the best on this one is: it doesn’t sound pathetic or clichee but is indeed one of the most interesting non-metal recordings of today. Together with A Place to bury Strangers this is a thousand times more of what Goth should sound like and was decades ago. Highly recommended release – but for open-minded folks only.
