I like the principle behind this idea but keep in my mind that there is no hard cap for the amount of reviews in a given album. Don't get too crazy with nitpicking and feel you have to single something out to remove just because you were assigned to one. Obviously the moderators will decide whether something should stay or go so I'm sure they'll be wise to it.

I recently finished my analysis of the reviews submitted for Darkthrone's A Blaze in the Northern Sky (1992).

Ashes Against the Grain is done, so I'll move onto Killswitch Engage's Holy Diver single.

Lana, would you be so kind as to check my review for the single to make sure it's acceptable?

I began searching through the reviews for Darkthrone's Under a Funeral Moon (1993) earlier this morning, and I just finished the said task approximately five minutes ago.

As of now, I am going to begin seeking out the residual reviews which clutter and corrode Darkthrone's debut full-length album, Soulside Journey (1991).

As stated earlier, I have finished my proposals for the deletion of several reviews for Darkthrone's Soulside Journey.

Advance and Vanquish is done, I'll move on to Mercyful Fate's Melissa. Basically my favorite album ever so that one should be easy.

Melissa is done. Painful how bad most of those were. Anywho, I'll take Origin's Antithesis next.

EDIT: Oh, and I've got a review up for Antithesis, so if a neutral party is looking at them then I guess here's the warning. I have one for Ensiferum's self titled as well.

They look fine to me.

I'm hoping to have a productive weekend so I can start pitching in next week. Is anyone interested in trying the releases that have reviews up in the 20s? Unfortunately (well, not for my ears), I don't know them well enough to feel qualified to look out for inaccuracies specific to the release, except for a small handful. I don't want to add more to the available list until we are down into the teens.

I know the Cyptopsy, Megadeth, and Metallica releases in the 20s, but not much else. I could try None So Vile after Antithesis if it isn't taken by then I suppose.

I'll take Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God next.

P.S - Wouldn't it be better if the completed tasks would be tagged as such AFTER the mods have processed them in the oven fodder? Because if we've completed a task but it doesn't get cleaned up, we've pretty much accomplished nothing.

Do you think they'd accidentally skip a post or something?

I don't think it's necessary to do that, but I guess I can.

That's the unlikely case, the mods are quite pedant on the Oven Fodder. What I meant more is the occurence when a person gets assigned to an album with, say, 25 reviews but gets only one of them deleted - the album still remains with hell of a lot reviews up, so it might be better to have another user ro sift through it again instead of immediately labeling it as "accomplished". It's not crucial or something, but couldn't harm in any way I think.

Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God is complete.

Ah, I see. Well, in that sort of case when there are a lot of reviews for a release and a user suggests none or only a few for deletion, it would be worth it for myself or one of us to check and make sure. I read every new post in Oven Fodder, so I would catch that if it were to happen. From what I can tell, based on the good, thorough work of everyone involved in this, I don't think there's much to worry about as far as things getting overlooked or rushed, and every report has been lengthy, containing quite a lot of suggested review deletions. I do agree that it would be odd for that to occur, especially when we are still in the higher review numbers, and I would certainly want to check, but only in that type of instance would it be necessary, I think.
