If a review got rejected and I decided to fix it up a little and re-submit it the next day, what are the chances of the mods just taking a brief glance at it and dismissing it as the same review without actually reading the content? Will that happen or should I not worry? I fixed the review up quite a bit I don't even know why I submitted it the first time; but it may look similar at a glance.

Well, it depends of course, on what you're reviewing and how close your review originally was to an acceptable level. I would post it in the review feedback thread to get a good idea.

I have faith that its improved enough... and if not I will definitely post it in that thread because I will be rather confused. But will a mod give it more than a fleeting glance?

We check all reviews - even though that are edits - for acceptability. The content will be read either way; more than a fleeting glance.
