I'd really like someone to review Damage Done By Worms by Purgatory (released in 1996). In my opinion it's a real death metal gem as it is very variated an just fun to listen to. Also, there is a reason their vocalist is called "Sick"...

What up fellas?!

A few friends of mine have a new project, whose debut EP comes out next week. They would like some reviews, constructive criticism and a general feel of how other people perceive their work. They're a bunch of guys with different musical backgrounds that got together in order to mix some of their personal tastes. They're all decent musicians and the production quality is pretty good, so nothing "bedroom" about this.

I have the press kit that holds pretty much everything, including the rip of the EP. So if anyone should be interested please PM me and I'll send you the link. What do they play? I'd say it's thrash/groove with a blackened death influence, or something like that. Got you interested now?! PM me guys, just do it. ;)

and this http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/The_Unconscious_Mind/Where_Philosophers_Fall/360398
Any other bands that sounds similar to this?

If anyone would like to review these guys, the band would be more than welcome to send you physical copies of everything but their demo (as it's out of print/sold-out). Send me a PM and I'll provide you with an e-mail address where you can get ahold of them. (I'd post it here, but I don't know if the address is supposed to be private or whatnot ...)

Ankou Awaits - Wyllt
Track listing:

I. With Sword in Hand
II. The Blackened Faced Warrior
III. Heading Down the Path to Destiny
IV. With Madness in His Eyes
V. Among the Waste of War
VI. Along with His Sanity

This is the 3rd full length release from the Deathened Black Metal project, Ankou Awaits. 43 minutes of blistering metal which can only be described as a marriage of the most heinous and emotional black metal with the most gut wrenching and maniacal death metal. Released on Black Plague Records.

If anyone wants to help spread the word about this album, or review the album here, Spirit of Metal, on their own site, etc. I'll give away my music to do so. Please contact me at thomas at ankouawaits dot com. Any questions, concerns or comments can be sent there as well.

Thank you for your time,

I've had a few outside zine/ezine reviews of my Ankou Awaits - Wyllt release on Black Plague Records. (among them are Forbidden Magazine, blackmetalreviews.com, Lords of Metal)

I'd really like someone to review my album here at the metal archives though! Please contact me: thomas at ankouawaits dot com and I will send you a direct download of the album!

My band, The Restitution, just put out a new record, and would love it if any of you guys here reviewed it. It falls more or less under the blanket of progressive metal, and I've heard people compare it to the likes of Deftones, Thrice, Oh, Sleeper and Extol (though I'm not sure I agree with the Extol comparison). You can stream\download it (free) via our Bandcamp page. Thanks!

I'd love to see some uh, well, love for Summoning's latest. The reviews it currently has aren't the most brilliant samples of literature, and it would be great to see a more accomplished reviewer have a shot at it.

I would really like to see a review of The Levitation Hex - The Levitation Hex

It's a kind of succesor band to Alchemist formed by Adam Agius. The music is very much alike to Adam's former band, only heavier and more agressive. It also has it's fair share of Alchemist psychedelics/weirdness. This album was one of the most anticipated albums of 2012 for me, and I'm actually kind of suprised that no one reviewed it yet. Tony perhaps? Or androdion?

Maybe later. It's still on my "to buy" list, and I was supposed to buy it in the coming times. But what do you know?! Now I need glasses! :annoyed:

I'll be out of money for a while...

I would like to request some reviews for my newest album.
Please message me your email, and I'll send you the MP3 copy of the album.
This is old old school black thrash style. Inspired by Bathory, Venom, Celtic Frost. etc.
But with modern drums and blast beats.

I know it's not relevant to the upcoming challenge, but can we get some more Timeghoul reviews on the site (fanboy splooging optional)? They only have seven right now, which feels... oddly low to me.

Actually seems like a bit much for a band from Buttdick, Missouri who influenced nobody and only wrote six songs in their career.

Post subject:  Re: Request-a-Review Thread

Well, Necrovore only wrote four songs of <20 minutes of material and they got 10 reviews. At least Timeghoul's stuff adds up to around 40 minutes, which you could say is about as much material as a full-length. It's just weird to see/hear so much hype about them but for it not to be reflected on the database.

Thanks! I think that was a fair appraisal (and that album strikes me as a pain in the ass to review). "Getting into the Labyrinth" I like a lot... I kinda wish they would've sawed that album in half, my brain keeps shutting off after "Evilution Within".

I was wondering if someone would be interested in reviewing our band's new EP "Genesis of Perdition". We play progressive/technical death metal influenced by 80's and 90's era DM bands.

If anyone would be interested in reviewing my band (Black Metal from Detroit) Isenblast's 2010 s/t demo that would be cool. I would be glad to send the tracks in an e-mail. You can hear one of the songs from the 2010 demo called "The Storm" and it has another track from our 2nd demo (which is currently being pressed to cassette as I type) to check out. The 2010 demo is 3 songs, the 2013 demo is 2. Would be glad to have either looked into.

Black Sabbath's "13" has around 20 reviews... Deep Purple's "Now What" only 2. A sadness, as DP's release is by far superior, in my opinion, in comparison to BS.
