long story short, there are currently two bands named Queensrÿche active... both about to release new studio albums.

The Queensrÿche page on MA is the one with Todd La Torre, if you're judging by the line-up. I guess the best solution would be to create a new band page to feature Geoff Tate's "solo project" if the new album (Frequency Unknown) is considered metal enough. Tate is currently listed as being in the band "Geoff Tate's Queensrÿche", so that would be the band that will release Frequency Unknown. There's no need to add both to the current page.
