Certain bands in the past and present have had email address, snail mail addresses, 24-hour hotline #'s and all variety of ways to officially get in touch with them. Labels often have certain ways bands can contact them (some prefer physical media sent to a mail address, others operate on the internet). Would there be any way to implement an official section or area of artists / bands / labels / etc? This is an important part of the music (the people behind it) and I feel it's something that Metal Archives could definitely use as a drawing point as being a living, breathing online metal encyclopedia.

Thoughts from other users, mods or site owners on this?

cheers,

The majority of active bands have an official website or a page on a social network like Facebook or MySpace where they can be contacted. Plenty of others have contact emails listed in the additional notes. There's really no need to add a field for it when more often than not bands have a page that they can be contacted through and a lot of them also have an email address to be contacted at. In the unusual occasion that a band doesn't have a website that they can be contacted through, most of them can be contacted via email in the additional notes.
