I'm the type of person who can get irritated by inconsistency. Clearly most have the view that the song listings should consist of tracks, as do I. But those who have added some albums don't.

Example:
In the Rush discography, the album A Farewell to Kings consists of some tracks that in themselves have chapters with separate titles. On that album, the songs are listed as six tracks, which is the number that the stereo shows when having the album in it. So far, so good. But some albums by the same band, Caress of Steel, 2112 and Hemispheres, have all the chapter titels listed as separate songs, making them albums with much more tracks than what shows on the stereo. Of course, in both cases, there's additional notes explaining that track so and so are part of song X. But appart from the way of listing songs are different from one album to another, which can be confusing to those who want to add albums themselves, I also feel that the point of writing the song duration is to find out the actual track duration and nothing else.

Good way:
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ru ... Kings/3572

Bad way:
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ru ... Steel/3571
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Rush/2112/3574
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ru ... heres/3577

What episode the specific parts of the lyrics are parts of might as well be written in the lyrics in the same way it's written in the album booklets.

Yes. I suppose i started a thread because I wasn't sure if it was really a matter, considering the ammount of time it's been that way for a famous band like Rush. So I wanted to know personally, and have others to know, whether the moderators defined a song as a track or not. Now we know ;)

While your at it, I forgot to mention one:

As the additional notes say, the "tracks" 6-8 is the song Natural Science.

Done, but, as Evenfield said, please use the report function from now on.
