When did Entrails change label? The only info I can find is that they're signed to FDA Rekotz.

Don't know, but their next full-length is released by Dark Descent: http://www.darkdescentrecords.com/store ... ts_id=1170 Not sure if that's also their official label now, though.

I think they only license the album in the states.

On the labels:

Should in the add notes of the labels all releases be listed that have been spread by them or does this site want to limit everything on the metal ones?

Example:

This is what Entrails wrote in their myspace blog.

"The Tomb Awaits Release

hey
the 9th day in september finally our second fullength album is available worldwide.
With some great help from the label Dark descent Records it will spread even more in US
FDA Rekotz will also as usually do a important work selling in europe and so on.. "

Just as I thought. Dark Descent Records are marketing and selling the album in the states. So FDA Rekotz will remain as their main record label. Of course some idiot named Viral changed it before anything was even confirmed here....

Nomenclatur for labels ... do we have such a thing? Are labels to have the records or recordings as well or can we remove it? There are so many examples in which different kind of spelling are used; also for new entries:

B&E instead of Blut and Eisen.
(I fixed this)

It's supposed to showcase the full label name, including the words 'Records' / 'Productions' / whatever.

Labels also have a field for alternate spellings, by the way.

Since we are now capitalizing genres, perhaps we should get rid of this line, which appears among the general review rules when one tries to add one: "On the other hand, don't capitalize genres / styles i.e. Thrash Metal, Doom Metal - they're not proper nouns."

May have something to do with my cache/browser/etc, but when I click "Reviews" it only lists up to hells_unicorns' To-Mera reviews, despite showing at least 14 more recent ones on the main page.

You can add everything if you want.

Yeah, it seems we have a problem here.

Where exactly is that?

When you try to add a review there's a short checklist above the fields. It's the second to last item.

Anyway, I thought capitalizing genres only applies to a band's genre field? In all other cases the spelling is still with lower case letters.

I still think it looks retarded even in the band genre field. The first letter of the first word, sure, but the subsequent words, no.

I wish to "thank" my fellow mods for "correcting" it every time in my submissions.

Oh, ok, I did not capitalize them in my reviews anyway, haha. I also felt it looked retarded :p

My feedback on the V2 Metal Archives is that it hasn't improved, and that V1 was better. If the majority of the community says the same thing, you guys should change it back and put in what the community wants. The list of bands all one page for each genre was probably the best thing that happened to this site.

So the last few days the website has been running kind of slowly compared to usual. I don't think it's my Internet connection since other sites still work fine. Then today, while trying to search for a band, this appeared at the top of the page:

Quote:
Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /home/metalarc/webapp/controllers/SearchController.php on line 31

Then, where the list of bands would appear from the search, this showed up:

Quote:
Error:

Cannot send headers; headers already sent in /home/metalarc/webapp/controllers/SearchController.php, line 31

Not being a programmer, I don't know what this means, but I thought it might be something I should ask about.

Weird, there are some links to reviews on the front page that don't go where they're supposed to.

http://www.metal-archives.com/reviews/I ... pe_you_die
http://www.metal-archives.com/reviews/G ... pe_you_die

They both end up going to an Antaeus demo review by the we_hope_you_die user. Apparently it's the underscores in his name that do it (change them to spaces in the url and it works). I didn't know you were allowed to use spaces in your username.

Also note that when you click on his username, no mini-popup menu comes up, although middle-click still works.

Sorry if this glitch has already been reported.
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/J. ... nic/286913
This album has no tracklisting and it's impossible to add one.

That's a recurrent bug. Old album deleted, new entry added.

Are artist names supposed to be capitalized (the first letter of each name)?

is it possible to list the band entries with legacy line-ups?

An option to mark a release as 'having no cover'?

Eventually we'll have such a list. For the moment you can click on "more" under "Latest Band updates" and check the bands that haven't been updated in a while.

A "no cover" tag doesn't seem very useful.

Bug fixes:
Most bugs that were reported in the public forums were fixed.

New feature:
"View report history" for any entry.

Not exactly sure if this is a glitch. I was adding the album lineups to the band AAAAARGH! Bloody 2-Handed Chainaxe Blow and while I was adding the lineup to this album, my Internet connection timed out as I pressed the "save this tab" button. Now I can't add Thaumas Not to the lineup; it says he's already present on the album lineup, even though he's obviously not.

Fixed. Although for testing I added Thaumas Not's roles as being the same as for the band ("Guitars, Programming"), hopefully that was accurate. :p

Another bug related to our good friends Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis... As much as I like the band, I feel bad for you guys, because they're constantly fucking up the site with their super-long name.

As you can see, the Edit Similar Artists tab does not take too kindly to listing Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis. I'm using Google Chrome, by the way.

I seriously doubt that Morri or Hellblazer are going to spend their time with this. A good solution would be to vote them down.

Any word on when the "show all bands" button will be implemented? Ive been waiting a while and still have to page through all the bands to get back to the band page I was on previously. I know its part of the ajax programming that that happens but it would be nice to not have to page through 28 pages of T bands to get to the next band in my list.

Yeah, I removed that, thought it was overkill and it annoyed me... um, middle-click if you still want that?

You can also do like me: Ctrl + left click and open 30 tabs with reports before working on them.

Yeah, I'm opening reports in a new tab most of the time anyway. When I left-click on a report I usually want to open it in the current window, so that thing irritated me a bit as well.
